My name is Tammie Springs. I live in the Seattle area with my husband, Tobin. I work as the Web Software Developer at Biblesoft (in Des Moines). I just graduated with my Masters of Science Degree in Computer Systems with a minor in Web Development. I even graduated with Presidential Honors (meaning my grade was above a 3.9)!
Before I moved West of the Cascades I lived in Eastern Washington (the right side of the state). :) I grew up in the small (yet wonderful) town of Ephrata. I graduated Ephrata High School in 1999 after participating in Running Start for a year and a half at Big Bend Community College. Though I could have graduated from junior college that summer, I ended up attending an extra year and graduated with not only an AA&S but also a Drafting Certificate.
From Big Bend I headed off to Ellensburg, WA where I enrolled at Central Washington University. I majored in Computer Science (specifically Software Engineering and Design), and minored in Math. My time at Central was quite fun. I got involved with several youth groups and ended up being quite active in Chi Alpha. I played piano and sang on the Chi Alpha worship team - that was so much fun. Being involved in Chi Alpha never left me for want of something to do - there was always an activity going on!
It was through Chi Alpha and Computer Science that I met my future husband, Tobin. He had a CS class that I ended up tutoring him in and we both designed the t-shirt for the God Thing (a campus-wide Christian event). We then ended up going to China together in the summer of 2002 with a college group. We stayed in China and Thailand for a total of five awesome weeks teaching English at a university there - what an experience!
Tobin and I married several weeks after I completed my last quarter of school at Central (at the end of Winter quarter, 2003). Once we were married we moved to the Seattle area. He had a job at Tukwila middle school as the art teacher, and in the fall I accepted a position at Biblesoft.
I enjoy web design/development, photography, music (I play the piano), reading, the outdoors, water skiing, sun, etc.
